Tom Daley through to 10m final but Matty Lee fails to make top 12

Tom Daley is through to tomorrow night's men's 10m platform final thanks to finishing third in his semi-final.

Tom Daley has booked his place in the final of the men's 10m platform final and has confirmed Great Britain a spot in the 2016 Rio Olympics in the process.

Daley finished third overall with a score of 524.70, while China's defending champion Qui Bo topped the heat with a score of 577.

British compatriot Matty Lee finished 18th with a score of 357.60 and bowed out of the competition on his World Championship debut.

Daley's place in the final guarantees Britain a place in the competition for the Olympics next summer.

The final takes place tomorrow.
