Phil Taylor wins three of the last four legs to secure a 6-6 draw against Michael van Gerwen on the opening night of the Premier League in Belfast.

Michael van Gerwen missed five darts to beat Phil Taylor before the 16-time world champion fought back to secure a 6-6 draw on the opening night of the Premier League.

Van Gerwen had led 3-1, 5-3 and 6-4 before he failed to see out the match and Taylor took advantage to hit a 104 checkout in the final leg to secure a point in Belfast.

Raymond van Barneveld reeled off five legs in a row on the way to opening up his campaign with a 7-4 triumph over Gary Anderson.

Adrian Lewis continued to struggle for form as he fell to a 7-3 defeat to Australia's Simon Whitlock.

Robert Thornton impressed on his Premier League debut as he defeated Andy Hamilton 7-5, while James Wade overcame Wes Newton 7-4.
