Strong start for Sri Lanka in second Test

Sri Lanka make a strong start in the second Test against Pakistan as they head into lunch on 69-0 in Colombo.

Sri Lanka have reached lunch on day one of the second and final Test against Pakistan on 69-0 following a positive start in Colombo.

The hosts made two changes to the side that beat Pakistan in Galle last week in the opening Test match, with Chanaka Welegedara and Lahiru Thirimanne replacing Shaminda Eranga and Kithuruwan Vithanage.

Upal Tharanga was first to the crease with an unbeaten 28, while opening partner Kaushal Silva ended the session on 38 not out.

The match marks the end of former Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene's Test career.
