Younis Khan hit 177 for Pakistan - including 15 boundaries and a six before lunch - setting a healthy tally for Sri Lanka to chase down.

The Lions began their response rather unconvincingly as Upal Tharanga fell lbw to Junaid Khan after just 15 deliveries with the score on 24.

Kumar Sangakkara joined Kaushal Silva at the crease next, and the 75-run partnership remained undefeated at the close of play.
