Sachin Tendulkar makes an unbeaten 38 as India reach tea on 84-2 against Australia on the second day's play in Chennai.

India reached tea on 84-2 as they began their reply to Australia's total of 380 in the first Test match in Chennai.

After the tourists were dismissed before lunch, India returned looking to make quick inroads into Australia's total.

However, they got off to a poor start as James Pattinson clean-bowled Virender Sehwag and Murali Vijay to reduce the home side to 12-2.

The second dismissal saw Sachin Tendulkar introduced to the action and he and Cheteshwar Pujara put on an unbeaten partnership of 72.

Tendulkar will return after lunch on 38, with Pujara on 33, and you can keep updated with the final session of the day by following Sports Mole's live commentary.
