Gautam Gambhir has been left out of the India squad for the first two Tests against Australia.
The left-handed batsman sees his place taken by Murali Vijay, while uncapped Shikhar Dhawan comes in for Suresh Raina.
Gambhir, who averages 44.18 in his 54 Tests, has not scored a Test hundred since January 2010.
The four-Test series against Australia begins in Chennai on February 22.
