England will find out the extent of Stuart Broad's arm injury in the next 48 hours, according to one-day captain Alistair Cook.

The all-rounder left the field after bowling nine overs during England's draw against India at Lord's on Sunday.

Broad is England's Twenty-20 captain, and any lasting damage could rule him out of his side's upcoming matches against the West Indies.

With vice-captain Eoin Morgan currently missing through injury, England may have to name a new captain.

"It's only happened a couple of hours ago and we'll see how it settles down over the next 24 to 48 hours," said Cook on Sunday evening.

England's draw against India on Sunday secured their one-day series win.
