Dougie Brown: 'Jonathan Trott will be back for England'

Warwickshire's director of cricket Dougie Brown believes that Jonathan Trott will soon be ready to make his England return.

Warwickshire's director of cricket Dougie Brown has tipped Jonathan Trott for a return to the England team in the near future.

Trott is expected to make his competitive comeback in the County Championship in April after leaving the tour of Australia due to a stress-related illness.

"Having met recently, he looks in great shape and is certainly hungry to score plenty of runs for Warwickshire," Brown told members of the press.

"He's been a crucial member of the England set up for nearly five years and I am certain that he will be back as England's number three in the near future."

Trott, who made his Test debut in 2009, will return for Warwickshire in a pre-season friendly against Gloucestershire at the start of April.
