Stuart Broad expects to play in England's opening World T20 against New Zealand

England bowler Stuart Broad says that he is "very confident" of playing in tomorrow's World Twenty20 opener against New Zealand, despite carrying a knee injury.

England bowler Stuart Broad has claimed that he expects to feature in his side's opening World Twenty20 clash against New Zealand on Saturday.

The 27-year-old has been struggling with a knee injury, but has revealed that he will take to the nets today ahead of tomorrow's encounter.

"I'm very hopeful," BBC Sport quotes Broad as saying. "We have training today and I'll bowl two spells in the nets. I'm very confident I'll play a part tomorrow and in the rest of the tournament."

England lost both warm-up fixtures against the West Indies and India respectively.
