Kent spinner James Tredwell has been handed an increment contract by the England and Wales Cricket Board for the 2013-14 season.
The 32-year-old reached the required number of games for England to earn the deal after appearing in six one-day internationals and four Twenty20 matches.
Non-contracted players earn England increment contracts via a points system, with five points being awarded for a Test appearance and two for a T20 or ODI appearance.
Tredwell, who has made just one appearance in Test cricket, has taken 44 wickets at international level and is expected to play a key role in the World Twenty20.
England start their tournament against New Zealand on Saturday.
