Andrew Flintoff: "Trotty will be back"

Andrew Flintoff believes that Jonathan Trott's stress-related illness does not necessarily mean that his international career is over.

Former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff has backed Jonathan Trott to return to international Test cricket in the future.

It was announced that 32-year-old Trott would leave England's Ashes squad in Australia because of a stress-related illness.

"Trotty will be back. Over the hardest hurdle in his recovery by facing it head on, which is something we are not all able to do. I wish I would have had Trotty's strength of character a few years back," Flintoff wrote on Twitter.

England's second Test match against the Australians will get underway on Thursday, December 5 in Adelaide.
