Frank Warren: 'Amir Khan is past his best'

Frank Warren says that Amir Khan is past his best having lost his last two fights.

Amir Khan's former promoter Frank Warren has insisted that the Brit's best days are behind him.

The 25-year-old was knocked down three times as he went on to lose to Danny Garcia by TKO on Saturday in Las Vegas. Warren has revealed that he's been unimpressed by Khan recently.

"For me the last couple of fights have been an accident waiting to happen. It was a close fight against Lamont Petersen and he was getting caught very often by a non-puncher," Warren told talkSPORT.

"The same happened against Medina, in the 10th round he was all over the place and if that fight had been elsewhere it may have been stopped.

"I have the feeling that he has peaked. He peaked a couple of fights ago and that [defeat] is going to be a tough thing to come back from."

Khan has now lost his last two fights after he was previously beaten by Lamont Peterson in December last year.
