Manny Pacquiao has revealed that he expects to discover next week if a proposed showdown with Floyd Mayweather Jr will go ahead.
The pair, who are considered two of the biggest names in the sport, have failed to negotiate a deal numerous times in the past, but widespread reports have claimed that an agreement is edging closer.
This evening, Pacquiao told Sky Sports News: "We're waiting for the answer from them, probably by next week, if the fight will happen or not. I think [it will happen] because I think the fans deserve the fight."
Pacquiao has lost just five out of 64 professional bouts, while Mayweather is undefeated in 47.
