Manny Pacquiao has agreed terms to step into the ring with Floyd Mayweather Jr as confirmation of their potential superfight slowly draws closer.
The two biggest names in boxing have abandoned negotiations over a showdown several times in recent years due to disagreements over television network deals and blood tests among other things.
However, the latest round of talks appear to have been more fruitful and Pacquiao has accepted a deal, which includes stipulations over glove requirements and United States Anti-Doping Agency tests, for a proposed clash at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 2.
Carl Moretti, vice-president of Top Rank, who promote the Filipino, has suggested that the ball is now in Mayweather's court.
He told ESPN: "Top Rank and Manny have agreed to the terms on our side. I don't know about the other side."
Moretti added: "I think that Manny agreed to USADA testing shows you his eagerness to make this fight."
Pacquiao, 36, is the only eight-division world champion in the history of boxing, while American Mayweather, 37, boasts a flawless 47-0 professional record.
