Kell Brook will defend his IBF welterweight title against mandatory challenger Jo Jo Dan in his hometown of Sheffield on March 28.
The 28-year-old won the world belt against Shawn Porter in California in August, but his celebrations were short-lived after he was stabbed in Tenerife at the start of September.
Brook is now fit and ready to take on the Romanian in his first defence of the title, but the Yorkshireman is expecting a tough fight against a man who has lost just twice in 36 professional bouts.
"It will be emotional, after winning the world title last year but then a few weeks later having an horrific knife attack," he told reporters.
"I was wondering if I would walk again, never mind fight, but now I am feeling fit. I am getting the mandatory out of the way. I am after those massive fights - you all know the names - later in the summer, but I have to get this one out of the way first, and he is a tough customer."
Brook has previously made it known that he would like to challenge Amir Khan at some stage in the near future.
