British welterweight Kell Brook has revealed that he has returned to training after being stabbed in the leg in September.
The Sheffield fighter recorded a points victory over Shawn Porter in California to win the IBF title but his celebrations were cut short when he was stabbed during a holiday in Tenerife.
However, after three months of rehabilitation, Brook is nearing a return to full training as he looks to make his first title defence in his home city at the start of March.
The 28-year-old told Ringside: "I'm training really well. I'm back doing what I love and I am around 16 weeks away from a fight. I'm looking at getting back in March and I am looking at that world title defence in Sheffield.
"I'm back, I'm smiling and I'm healthy. I'm moving forward and I just can't wait to get back in that ring and give the fans in England a brilliant, brilliant fight."
Brook is expected to face either Ionut Dan Ion or Kevin Bizier, who will fight to become mandatory challenger in Canada on December 19.
