Amir Khan: 'It's taken me 10 years, but I'm now living my dream'

Amir Khan says that he is living his dream as he prepares to take on Devon Alexander in the ring in Las Vegas this weekend.

British welterweight Amir Khan has insisted that his 10 years of hard work have paid off as he prepares to take on Devon Alexander in Las Vegas.

The Bolton-born fighter is hopeful that next year he will have the chance to face Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao, but right now, the 28-year-old is focused on being the "main attraction" at the MGM Grand Garden.

"My dream was to turn professional one day and fight at the biggest arenas at the world and have my name up in lights," Khan told Sky Sports News. "This is where I'm at.

"It took 10 years to get here but it's a dream come true. I'm topping the bill here. I'm the main attraction in Vegas. It took a lot of fighting, a lot of training and a lot of sacrifices to get into this position."

Khan has 28 wins and three defeats on his professional record.
