British welterweight Amir Khan has insisted that he is fully focused on his fight with Devon Alexander in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
Khan has frequently been linked with a showdown with Floyd Mayweather Jr, but the former WBA light-welterweight champion has revealed that he is keen to learn from previous mistakes.
At a pre-fight press conference on Monday, the 28-year-old said: "Winning this fight could lead to a massive fight but I'm not looking past it, because I know it's a dangerous fight.
"I've made the mistake before with fights I should have gone in and won. I'm now 28, but I'm still learning and I'm still hungry, and I just have to pace myself and take my time."
Khan's last fight saw him impress against Luis Collazo in May while Alexander, who lost his IBF belt last December, beat Jesus Soto Karass in June.
