Tristan Thompson tried to get Cleveland back into the game late on, cutting the home side's lead to just four points with two minutes to go, but the Thunder did just enough to hold on with the win.
The Thunder have now won six of their last seven games, leaving them with a 9-13 record this season, while the Cavaliers slip to 13-8 to sit fourth in the Eastern Conference.
