NBA roundup: Eight wins in a row for Cleveland Cavaliers

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Tuesday's NBA games.

The Cleveland Cavaliers picked up their eighth win in a row, coming from behind in the fourth quarter to beat the Toronto Raptors.

The hosts were 10 points behind the Eastern Conference leaders early in the fourth, but LeBron James rallied the team, levelling the scores with just over three minutes to go before lifting them to victory.

Kevin Durant helped the Oklahoma City Thunder to victory on his first appearance at home for the team this season, scoring 23 in their win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

The reigning league MVP combined with Russell Westbrook for 51 to give the Thunder their fifth win in six outings.

The San Antonio Spurs came up short on their visit to the Utah Jazz, allowing the hosts to snap their nine-game losing streak.

The Jazz battled to keep the scores close in the first half before Gordon Hayward and Derrick Favors opened up a lead for the home side in the third quarter.

The Miami Heat needed a strong finish as they came from behind to beat the Phoenix Suns.

Last season's beaten NBA finalists had lost their last four games, and were behind in the fourth quarter, but Chris Bosh scored 10 of his 34 points in the final 12 minutes.

The Detroit Pistons slipped to a 13th straight defeat against the in-form Portland Trail Blazers.

The visitors were in control by the end of the first quarter, leading by 11 before LaMarcus Aldridge added 23 to ensure that the Blazers maintained the lead throughout.

The Los Angeles Lakers overturned a second-half 12-point deficit to end a run of three straight defeats with a win over the Sacramento Kings.

Kobe Bryant was the team's top scorer with 32, nine of which came in the final 3:14 as the home side completed their comeback late on.

The Memphis Grizzlies needed a strong second-half performance to wrap up a win over the Dallas Mavericks.

Marc Gasol was the team's top scorer with 30 as the Grizzlies outscore Dallas 36-17 in the third quarter to pull away after the sides were level at the break.

The New York Knicks slipped to their ninth consecutive loss as the New Orleans Pelicans wrapped the win up late on.

There was little between the sides throughout, but Anthony Davis and Tyreke Evans added a string of points in the final minutes to seal the victory for the hosts.
