Usain Bolt: 'I never doubted myself'

Ten-time world champion Usain Bolt insists that he never doubted himself going into the men's 200m final at the World Athletics Championships.

Usain Bolt has insisted that he never doubted himself going into the 200m final at the World Athletics Championships in Beijing.

The six-time Olympic champion added a 10th world title to his honours list at the Bird's Nest Stadium, beating Justin Gatlin to 200m gold with a world-leading time of 19.55s.

Many had suggested that Gatlin would challenge the Jamaican at the Championships, but Bolt reiterated his sprinting dominance by doing the 100m and 200m double over the American.

"For me it's a big deal. It's great, a fourth win over 200m and it means a lot to me," he told BBC Sport.

"I'm happy to be a 10-time World Championships gold medallist, especially when people have been saying I would lose. For me I knew I had the utmost confidence.

"As long as my coach is confident I'm super confident. There was never a doubt that I would win this one. I'm number one. The British people give me a lot of love and I will continue running fast. Michael Johnson stop doubting me bro."

Bolt has now won the last four World Championship gold medals over 200m.
