Half-Time Report: St Louis Rams take slender lead in Minnesota

Three late field goals help the St Louis Rams take a 15-10 lead into half time against the Minnesota Vikings.

The St Louis Rams hold a slender 15-10 lead at half time away to the Minnesota Vikings.

Minnesota took the lead with their first possession of the game but their drive stalled towards the redzone, so they had to settle for a 34-yard Blair Walsh field goal.

On their next drive, the Vikings marched down the field with two long pass plays from Teddy Bridgewater to Charles Johnson and Kyle Rudolph, before Adrian Peterson crossed the line for a six-yard touchdown.

The Rams scored a touchdown of their own moments later after a 55-yard pass play to Kenny Britt was followed by a Todd Gurley run from a yard out into the endzone but St Louis failed to convert a two-point conversion.

Greg Zuerlein then hit the longest field goal of the season as his 61-yard attempt had enough legs to get through the uprights to make it a one-point game.

The St Louis kicker would be required again on their next two possession after they were stopped in Vikings territory and Zuerlein nailed both attempts to give his side the five-point lead at the break.
