The St Louis Rams got the only score of the first half to take a 6-0 lead into the interval of their match against the Washington Redskins this evening.
After a first quarter in which neither side was able to trouble the scorers, it was the Rams who finally got on the board at the start of the second when Jared Cook collected a Shaun Hill pass down the middle before racing in for a 35-yard touchdown.
The visitors were forced to settle with just a six-point lead, however, as Greg Zuerlein was unable to add the extra point.
That was how it stayed until half time as both defences remained on top, sending the Redskins into the break on course for a fifth consecutive defeat.
