Chip Kelly unsure on Michael Vick return

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly admits that he has stopped trying to predict when veteran quarterback Michael Vick will return to full fitness.

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly has admitted that he has given up on predicting when quarterback Michael Vick will return to full fitness.

Vick initially suffered a hamstring injury during a match against the New York Giants on October 6 and was expected to miss 10 to 14 days with the problem.

The 33-year-old was passed fit to play in the return fixture against the Giants on October 21, but he aggravated the same hamstring injury in the early stages of that match and has not been able to practice since.

"After we got past 10 to 14 days, I'm not thinking time frame anymore. I can cross my fingers. I can hope. But I can't do anything about it. They told me his leg is still sore and he can't go [in Tuesday's practice]," Kelly told reporters.

Replacement quarterback Nick Foles threw an NFL record-equalling seven touchdowns in Vick's absence during Sunday's 49-20 win over the Oakland Raiders.
