Tom Coughlin frustrated by Victor Cruz discussions

Tom Coughlin is frustrated not to have reached a contract agreement with wide receiver Victor Cruz yet.

Tom Coughlin has described contract talks between the New York Giants and Victor Cruz as "frustrating".

The head coach is keen to keep the wide receiver at the Giants, but the talks have stalled due to Cruz seeking a high salary.

Coughlin told The Star-Ledger: "I like to think that I can control everything, and that I can have something to do with making sure that something gets done that I think would be beneficial to everyone. And certainly I believe that about Victor.

"We want Victor to be a Giant until the end of his career, but obviously he and his people, his agents, they've got to make that call. It's a little bit frustrating in that you'd like to have it done, that's all."

Cruz has recorded over 1,000 yards in the last two seasons with the Giants, scoring a total of 19 touchdowns.
