Missing playoffs hurt Tom Coughlin

Tom Coughlin says that he does not know what to do with himself after missing out on the playoffs with the New York Giants.

Tom Coughlin has said that missing out on the playoffs with the New York Giants hurt.

The reigning Super Bowl champions finished second in the NFC East division, and missed out on a wildcard spot.

The head coach told the Star-Ledger: "I can't even describe how it hurts. I don't know what to do. I'm walking around here like a crazy man. I am. I don't know what to do with myself.

"When you have things in your grasp, and our team has developed a reputation for playing well under those circumstances, and I think that's what's so frustrating for you and for everyone else who follows our team so closely."

The Giants finished the regular season with nine wins and seven losses.
