Report: NFL struggling to find evidence against New England Patriots

A report suggests that the NFL is struggling to find evidence that the New England Patriots tampered with the footballs in the AFC championship game.

The NFL is struggling to find any evidence that the New England Patriots tampered with their footballs in the AFC championship game, according to a report.

The league announced that it was investigating the matter after Indianapolis Colts linebacker D'Qwell Jackson brought a ball he had intercepted from Tom Brady to the sideline and informed his coaches that he felt it was under-inflated.

A report suggested that 11 of the 12 balls used by the Patriots were not inflated to the required level of PSI stated in the NFL's regulations, but the NFL is having a hard time proving that that had anything to do with anyone within New England's organisation, claims ESPN.

Bill Belichick stated that he had no explanation for the issue, but he and his team could be fined $25,000 (£16,543) and docked Draft picks if found guilty of tampering with the footballs.
