Bill Belichick reveals turning point in season

New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick reveals where he feels the season turned around for his team ahead of reaching the Super Bowl.

New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick has revealed when the turning point in the franchise's season came as they prepare for Super Bowl XLIX.

Belichick insists that the week five victory over the Cincinnati Bengals was a significant win for the team with Rob Gronkowski returning to form, but it was the blow-out loss to the Kansas City Chiefs the week before which changed their attitude.

"I thought that we really tried to compete and play hard all 60 minutes, even at the very end when we had no chance to win," Belichick said, according to ESPN.

"I think that was a good sign from our team that we did that. Not that we played well, but we played hard."

Since that loss to the Chiefs, New England have gone on to outscore their opponents 482-285 en route to securing their place in the Super Bowl against the Seattle Seahawks on February 1.
