New England Patriots' Tom Brady cannot understand 2007 comparisons

New England Patriots' Tom Brady insists that he cannot understand pundits comparing his side to their 2007 counterparts, who went unbeaten in the regular season.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has conceded that he is baffled by comparisons made about his side this season to their unbeaten 2007 regular campaign.

The Patriots have started the term 3-0 following their 51-17 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, leaving pundits to speculate whether the team could match their feat of eight years ago when they went 16-0 in the regular season.

However, Brady is adamant that it is far too early to make those predictions due to the uncertainty that surrounds every week in the NFL.

He told WEEI: "I can't understand that one quite yet. It's like three games into the year. There is so much football left and there are so many things that can happen.

"We're not even a quarter of the way through the season, so it's way too early to think about anything.

"As things shake out, late November and December, you're going to see what teams are made of."

The Patriots went 18-1 in the 2007 season when they were defeated in Super Bowl XLII by the New York Giants.
