Half-Time Report: New England Patriots in control over New York Jets

The New England Patriots take an 11-point lead into the halfway stage of their all-AFC East clash with the New York Jets.

The New England Patriots have taken a 21-10 lead into the halfway stage of their AFC East clash with the New York Jets.

The Jets took the lead on the first drive of the match, getting 80 yards downfield before Geno Smith found Jeremy Kerley on the left side of the end zone from 12 yards.

The Patriots levelled things up straight away, however, with Brandon Bolden running around the defense from a yard out on the very next drive.

The visitors then took the lead when Smith threw his 11th interception of the season, his pass being picked off by Logan Ryan who had a clear run for an 81-yard touchdown return.

Nick Folk kicked a 37-yard field goal to reduce the deficit to four points at the start of the second quarter, but the Patriots extended it again with 5:21 left of the half when Stevan Ridley wriggled around the defence before running in for a 17-yard score.

That was how the score stayed for the remainder of the half as the Patriots look to extend their lead at the top of the AFC East.
