The Pittsburgh Steelers lead the New York Jets at half time as they look to end their four-game winless run in the NFL.
Both sides got off to a slow start as neither team were able to score on their first drive of the game.
However, Jets quarterback Geno Smith engineered a score on their next possession thanks to some good running by backs Bilal Powell and Chris Ivory, leaving Nick Folk to kick them into the lead with a 25-yard field goal.
Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers responded on their next drive as they overcame long yardage situations on third down twice to move into field goal range and kicker Shaun Suisham pulled them level with a 46-yarder that he knocked through the posts.
The Steelers began to move the ball well and found themselves inside the Jets' 20 again minutes later, and on third down Roethlisberger found Antonio Brown in the end zone. However, the receiver dropped the catch, forcing the visitors to settle for three points from the boot of Suisham.
Just before the break Suisham maintained his 100% record for the day with a 48-yarder to extend his side's lead to six points, but Smith managed to put his side in range with seconds to go and Folk nailed a 39-yarder to move the deficit back to three.
