The Green Bay Packers have confirmed that Aaron Rodgers will start against the Chicago Bears this weekend.
The quarterback has not played since the NFC North rivals last met in week nine of the regular season, having sustained a collarbone fracture.
The 30-year-old told the team's website: "It feels great. It's exciting to be able to play after a long layoff. It was a tough period, but I'm excited to be back in the mix with the guys, with a chance.
"It's been a difficult process for me, thinking I was going to have a chance every week. I was hopeful this opportunity would come up, but there are no guarantees in this business.
"My coming back doesn't alleviate any pressure on the guys. The pressure we put on ourselves we can harness at this point and see how good we can really be."
The winner of Sunday's game will clinch the NFC North title and seal a spot in the playoffs.
