Nick Fairley: 'We have to hit Jay Cutler'

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley reveals that his side are planning to hit Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler to knock him out of rhythm.

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley has revealed that he and his teammates are planning to "hit" Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler to unsettle him.

Cutler has guided his side to a 3-0 start this season and has thrown six touchdown passes in those games, leading the Lions to believe they have to target him to secure a victory of their own.

"That's every week," Fairley told the Detroit News. "Any quarterback we play, that's our goal, to hit him early and try to get him off his game.

"We've got a good game plan coming into this one. I think we're going to be able to do that early."

The Lions are 2-1 in their season going into week four.
