Half-Time Report: Detroit Lions in control against Chicago Bears

The Detroit Lions score three touchdowns in the second quarter to take a 17-point lead over the Chicago Bears at half time.

A strong second quarter has left the Detroit Lions in control at half time against the Chicago Bears in their NFL clash.

The teams could not be separated in the first quarter, as Robbie Gould and David Akers each kicked a field goal.

Matt Forte completed a 53-yard run to the end zone to give the Bears the advantage early in the second, but rushing efforts from Matthew Stafford and Reggie Bush and a short catch from Calvin Johnson saw the Lions surge ahead.

Bush, who missed last week's game with a knee injury, already has 112 rushing yards.

Gould added a further field goal just before the break to leave the Bears 17 points behind their divisional rivals.
