Joe Haden: 'Tashaun Gipson will not hold out of training camp'

Cleveland Brown cornerback Joe Haden does not feels that Tashaun Gipson will go to the extreme of holding out of training camp to get an improved contract.

Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden does not think that teammate Tashaun Gipson will miss his side's training camp to try to hold out for an improved contract.

Gipson has been a solid player in the Browns' secondary for the past two seasons, notching 11 interceptions, but he missed the last five games of the 2014 campaign after tearing his ACL.

The 24-year-old is reportedly eyeing a new long-term deal with the Browns, but Haden is adamant that Gipson will not go to extreme lengths to get an improved salary.

Haden told CBS: "I don't think he's thinking about holding out of training camp.

"It's a business and sometimes when the players do their part of it, being a business it looks a little foggy.

"I think he's going to be OK. He understands what's going on. He's going to be out there for training camp for sure."

Gipson has recorded 180 tackles and 12 interceptions in his three years at the club.
