Cleveland Browns quarterback Brian Hoyer has insisted that he is "positive" about his recovery from a season-ending ACL injury.

Hoyer suffered the injury during his side's 37-24 win over the Buffalo Bills on October 3, sliding at the end of an 11-yard run while being hit by Bills linebacker Kiko Alonso.

The 28-year-old had begun his career at the Browns in style, winning the first two matches that he started, and he insists that he is still upbeat about the situation despite seeing his good form end prematurely.

"I think generally ACL [recovery] is 6-8 months. Obviously I'd like to shoot for the shorter part of that. I'm really positive. I think that's the only way to be. Every day I'm getting better," Hoyer told reporters.

Cleveland have not won a match since Hoyer's injury and currently sit third in the AFC North ahead of Sunday's match against reigning Super Bowl champions the Baltimore Ravens.
