Jeff Garcia open to Cleveland Browns return

Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Jeff Garcia says that he would be open to returning to his team, despite not playing in the NFL since 2009.

Jeff Garcia has revealed that he has offered to return to the Cleveland Browns this season.

The 43-year-old quarterback, who spent the 2004 season with the AFC North side, has not started an NFL game for five years.

Garcia told 92.3 The Fan: "I actually reached out to the Browns and said, 'Hey, if you need a guy to come in, work me out, take a look'.

"I don't know if people want me back in Cleveland, but I'm open to the opportunity."

The Browns have had problems at the position this season, with Brian Hoyer sustaining a season-ending ACL tear and Brandon Weeden throwing six interceptions and fumbling three times in his five games in 2013.
