Half-Time Report: Andy Dalton double gives Cincinnati Bengals lead

Andy Dalton throws two touchdowns to give the Cincinnati Bengals the lead against the San Diego Chargers.

Andy Dalton threw two touchdown passes to give the Cincinnati Bengals a 14-6 lead against the San Diego Chargers at half time.

Keenan Allen muffed a punt early in the first quarter and two plays later, Dalton found AJ Green free in the back of the endzone for an early touchdown.

The Chargers replied with a solid drive that stuttered just outside the redzone, with Josh Lambo kicking a field goal to make the score 7-3.

It would be the Bengals who turned over the ball next with middle linebacker Donald Butler forcing a fumble from running back Jeremy Hill, but they could not take advantage as Philip Rivers fumbled the ball back to the home team.

The AFC North side then drove the ball up the field but Mike Nugent failed to convert the three points after he pulled his 36-yard attempt to the right, but Lambo did not make the same mistake moments later, scoring from 32 yards.

However, Dalton would push the Bengals further ahead midway through the second quarter as a deep pass found Marvin Jones for his second touchdown of the day.
