Racing Metro hammer Treviso in European Rugby Champions Cup

Racing Metro maintain their winning record in the European Rugby Champions Cup with a resounding 53-7 victory at home to Treviso in Pool 5.

Racing Metro have moved to the top of Pool 5 in the European Rugby Champions Cup with a comfortable 53-7 victory at home to Treviso.

The hosts, who remain unbeaten in this season's competition, were ruthless in the first half as Henry Chavancy, Benjamin Lapeyre and Dimitri Szarzewski all touched down.

Maxime Machenaud was able to convert two of those scores to give Racing a commanding 19-0 lead at the break.

Szarzewski went over twice early the second half as the home side turned the screw, but Treviso racked up their first points soon after when Joe Carlisle converted Michele Campagnaro's try.

However, Racing went into overdrive for the remainder of the game thanks to two tries from Juan Imhoff, a penalty score and a second try for Lapeyre.
