Pergignan beat Toulouse 30-19 to progress to the semi-finals in the Challenge Cup.

Perpignan have secured a place in the semi-finals of the Amlin Challenge Cup after beating Toulouse 30-19 at Stade Aime Giral this evening.

Tries from Sebastien Taofifenua and Farid Sid gave Perpignan a first-half advantage, but four penalty kicks from Lionel Beauxis ensured that the home side's lead was restricted to five points.

Sebastien Vahaamahina increased the advantage for Perpignan shortly after the restart, but the visitors got back into the match with an Edwin Maka try.

The hosts were reduced to 14 men with just over 15 minutes to play, as Dan Leo was shown a red card for a swinging arm offence.

Despite being a man down, the home side were able to force two penalties late in the game, which James Hook and Romain Terrain kicked to ensure that Perpignan would progress to the last four of the competition.
