AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi has been given a deadline of July 30 to file his final appeal against a tax fraud conviction.
The 76-year-old could be sent to jail for four years if his defence team fail to successfully appeal the conviction, which was in relation to the artificial inflation prices of film distribution rights bought by his company Mediaset.
The former Italy Prime Minister's lawyers are said to be outraged by the court's decision to hold the appeal hearing in just three weeks' time, according to Reuters.
Meanwhile, Berlusconi has also been sentenced to seven years behind bars for sleeping with an underage prostitute.
