AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli reportedly missed a meeting with the Italy Minister for Integration because he overslept.
The former Manchester City forward is believed to have been scheduled to meet Cecile Kyenge, who is the nation's first black minister, to discuss the issues of racism in the country.
Kyenge told Gazzetta dello Sport that Balotelli failed to show up, but has insisted that she wants to meet the entire team to talk about how they can do their bit to tackle racism.
Balotelli helped Italy qualify for the World Cup in Brazil by scoring twice in last night's victory over the Czech Republic.
