Kenny Jackett not perturbed by Norwich City loss

Wolves manager Kenny Jackett remains optimistic over their promotion chances despite losing 2-0 to Championship playoff rivals Norwich City at Carrow Road.

Kenny Jackett remains optimistic that Wolverhampton Wanderers can secure a playoff spot despite their 2-0 defeat at rivals Norwich City this afternoon.

Goals from Bradley Johnson and Lewis Grabban earned the Canaries a win which takes them sixth in the Championship and five points ahead of Wolves.

Jackett was disappointed that his side were so comfortably beaten at Carrow Road only days after thrashing Huddersfield Town, but is still upbeat about their promotion chances.

"To be honest Norwich eased us out of the game and we were never able to build up a head of steam," he is quoted by Sky Sports News quotes him as saying. "It's disappointing after the way we played at Huddersfield on Tuesday night.

"We never posed a threat although we were defending well before Norwich scored and we were disappointed to concede a soft goal from a corner. That really knocked us back.

"But we have still got 15 games left and there is still an opportunity for us. I think we need 30 points, two a game from now on in, and that is perfectly possible. That would get us up to 78 points and that will usually get you in the playoffs."

Wolves have now lost two of their last three matches, having previously gone 10 unbeaten in all competitions.
