David Sullivan: 'West Ham United won't sell key players'

West Ham United co-chairman David Sullivan insists that the club will not listen to any offers for their key players.

West Ham United co-chairman David Sullivan has insisted that the club will not listen to offers for any of their key players.

Sam Allardyce has led the Hammers on an unexpected run to fourth in the Premier League after enjoying success with his acquisitions in the summer transfer window, and the club will resist the temptation to cash in on any player in January.

"In January there is not any price we would sell any players for. First team players will not be sold," Sullivan told The Mirror.

"We are happy where we are, we don't want to unsettle the team, we are short of numbers with the Africa Cup of Nations and I can't imagine any circumstances where we would sell a player in January.

"We'd sell a squad player because we are looking at bringing players in in January. But we've got the luxury of buying for the future. Normally we are buying through panic but not on this occasion."

West Ham meet leaders Chelsea in a London derby on Boxing Day.
