Andrea Mandorlini concerned by Hellas Verona struggles

Andrea Mandorlini acknowledges that things are not going well for Hellas Verona, following their 4-1 defeat to Sampdoria.

Hellas Verona manager Andrea Mandorlini has admitted that he is worried about the start his team have made to the season.

The Gialloblu have failed to win any of their matches in Serie A and their troubles worsened following a 4-1 defeat at Sampdoria this afternoon.

"We were masters of the field for a bit, it seemed like a balanced challenge but at the moment things are not going as we would like," Mandorlini told Sky Sport Italia.

"The league position counts, there is a bit of concern and it shows in the play. The team feels like it is mine and I am responsible because I put it on the pitch.

"We can do more, obviously the responsibility is with the coach who must find the solutions and in this moment we are not up to the level to find them."

Verona are currently 19th in the Serie A table, level on five points with bottom club Carpi.
