Bayer Leverkusen: 'Leon Bailey not heading to Premier League'

Bayer Leverkusen director Rudi Voller says that Leon Bailey will not be leaving Germany for the Premier League on transfer deadline day.

Bayer Leverkusen director Rudi Voller has insisted that Leon Bailey will not be leaving Germany for the Premier League on transfer deadline day.

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the attacker during this summer's transfer window, while Manchester United and Manchester City are also said to be admirers.

However, Voller has said that Bailey will not be moving to England before Thursday's 5pm deadline.

"The transfer window closes at 5pm in England and we have no offer for him," Voller told reporters.

Bailey claimed earlier this week that Liverpool, Chelsea and Roma were also all interested in signing him this summer.

The 20-year-old joined Leverkusen from Genk in the summer of 2016, and scored 12 times in 34 appearances for his German club during the 2017-18 campaign.
