Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino: 'We can still win title'

Tottenham Hotspur can still win the Premier League title this season despite Leicester City's seven-point lead, according to their boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that his team can still win the Premier League title this season.

As it stands, second-placed Spurs are seven points behind the leaders Leicester City, but that gap would become 10 if Leicester can beat West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs are not in action until Monday night, when they visit Stoke City, but Pochettino is confident that his side still stand a strong chance of finishing first, providing that they "win all five" of their remaining matches.

"We know we have five games ahead and it is very important we try to win all five games and wait and see if Leicester drop points," Pochettino said in an interview via Periscope.

"It's important to keep fighting. We have different objectives. The bigger objective is to win title, but then it is to play in the next Champions League. If it's not possible to win title, it's important to stay second. We have a big motivation to try to reduce the gap to Leicester and in the same way to keep our position."

Spurs are currently 12 points above fifth-placed Manchester United, whom they beat 3-0 last weekend.
