Jose Mourinho reportedly gave a rousing speech in the dressing room after becoming Tottenham Hotspur manager on Wednesday.
The 56-year-old returned to the Premier League after almost a year out of the game following the club's decision to part ways with Mauricio Pochettino.
Ahead of facing West Ham United at the London Stadium on Saturday, Mourinho took his first training session with the Spurs squad on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Record, Mourinho made a point of giving the players an impassioned speech ahead of the trip to East London.
The Portuguese boss is said to have told players that he would be "your father, friend, girlfriend, whatever you want".
Moreover, Mourinho emphasised to the players that they were a lot better than their standing of 14th in the Premier League table suggests.
