Harry Kane: 'Scoring for England a standout moment in breakthrough campaign'

Harry Kane admits that scoring at Wembley is something that he always dreamed about, which is why his goalscoring debut for England was a standout moment this season.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has revealed that scoring for England on his international debut was the highlight of his breakthrough campaign.

The 21-year-old, who will take part in the U21 Euro 2015 championships later this month, became the first Spurs player since Gary Lineker in 1992 to score over 30 goals in a single season.

However, despite his impressive performances at club level, Kane says netting just 79 seconds into his first Three Lions appearance tops the lot.

"To go out at Wembley and score is what you dream about as a kid," he told Esquire. "I've had so many good moments this year that it's hard to choose a favourite, but I think that tops them all."

Kane finished behind Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero in the Premier League scoring charts.
