Harry Kane's record vs. Crystal Palace

Ahead of Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace, Sports Mole takes a closer look at Harry Kane's record against the Eagles.

Tottenham Hotspur will be out for a second London derby win in the space of four days when they face Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Boxing Day.

The Lilywhites overcame West Ham United 2-1 in the EFL Cup quarter-finals after holding Liverpool to a 2-2 draw in top-flight action a few days before.

Harry Kane bagged only his second league goal of the season in the stalemate with the Reds, but the England captain knows how to find the back of the net in this fixture.

Here, Sports Mole takes a closer look at Kane's record against the Eagles.

Kane's first taste of action against Crystal Palace came during his time on loan with Leicester City during the 2012-13 Championship campaign, where he barely played a minute as a substitute in a 2-2 draw.

During his breakthrough 2014-15 season with Tottenham, Kane announced himself to the Selhurst Park crowd with the opening goal in January, although Spurs went on to lose the contest 2-1.

Kane would find the back of the net once more at Selhurst Park in a 3-1 win back in January 2016, and the England captain would assist Victor Wanyama and Christian Eriksen's goals in a pair of 1-0 wins in the 2016-17 season.

While the striker struggled to fire on his own turf against Palace, his hot streak at Selhurst Park would continue with the only goal in a February 2018 victory before he drew two blanks in the 2018-19 campaign.

Kane would find the back of the net for the fourth time in six matches at Selhurst Park in a 1-1 draw in July 2020 after Spurs had thrashed the Eagles 4-0 at home, but he only had an assist to show for that game.

After going six home matches without a goal against Palace, Kane finally made the net ripple on familiar turf in some style - scoring twice and setting up two more in a 4-1 win after also scoring in a 1-1 stalemate on Palace's ground - but the 3-0 defeat at Selhurst Park earlier this term was a day to forget.

In total, Kane has faced Palace 15 times in the Premier League and boasts a tally of seven goals and five assists from those contests - winning 10, drawing three and losing two times to the Eagles.

However, having only scored in one of his seven home games against Palace, some may avoid placing bets on the 28-year-old adding to his paltry Premier League tally on Boxing Day.
